Project Description

Region: Eastern Europe

Country: Украина

Location: Kyiv

Total Budget: $178,000

Area of Focus: Community economic development

We train volunteers to become financial literacy trainers and then conduct trainings and cash flow games at schools and universities in Kiev and other cities of Ukraine. The project is based on books and methodology by Robert Kiyosaki. The funds ares used to pay for the printing of metodological materials and board games for schools and universities, as well as for training volunteers-trainers and teachers of financial literacy schools. More than 50 people from Rotaract (as volunteers) and up to 10 people from the Rotary Club (as trainers) are involved in the project. We provide leadership trainings for teenagers so that they can conduct trainings and cash flow games themselves at schools.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
