Underserved students at Title 1 schools often lack access to consistent, high-quality arts education, which plays a critical role in supporting academic success, creative development, and emotional well-being. This project addresses that need through two distinct components: a 10-week Art Leads visual arts program focused on creative expression and technical skill-building, and a separate Making Music tap dance performance designed to engage and inspire students through rhythm and live performance. The project will take place from August 2025 through May 2026.
Project funds will be used to purchase art materials and instructional supplies and for instructor fees for the Art Leads program, as well as to cover costs associated with the Making Music event, including venue rental, performer fees, sound equipment, and hospitality for students and guests. Club members will be actively involved by assisting in classroom workshops, supporting event logistics, preparing materials, and participating in the final performance event to foster community engagement and connection with the students.
