Summary: Supply baskets of supplies for Foster Kids who are on their own after aging out of the Foster System
Some Foster Children, when they leave the system, end up in the community with very little material support. Matthews House, in northern Colorado has some funds to help council these young adults but not to actually pay for things they need to start an independent life. The Loveland Satellite Club is going to put together "baskets" of things to help make this transition into an apartment or dorm easier. The Club will determine what should be included, purchase the items (possibly donating a few things) and assemble the baskets. In addition, we are talking to a group that might be interested in providing some handmade goods, like throw blankets, to add a personal touch and show the community cares. Matthews House will help distribute these baskets as needed.
