The Center Home for the Hispanic Elderly provides rehab and skilled nursing care following a hospital stay for the elderly. Our club donated an Ipad to this nursing home as part of the district's Ipad project. It was then we learned that this facility has among the highest death rate from Covid-19 in Cook County. As of mMy 19th, one nurse at the facility has died from COVID-19 and another 28 nurses and workers have been infected.

In response, Center Home has hired additional cleaning staff, garnered extra cleaning and isolation supplies, increased its cleaning schedules and protocols.
The Chicago Rotary Club NW would like to support this facility by providing adequate PPE for staff, as well as to help fund the extra cleaning efforts they are taking to thwart the spread of Covid-19.
