Main objective of the project is to set up dialysis center which will provide treatment at low cost when compare to other private dialysis centers. Day by day the number of patients are increasing tremendously. So, the community needs the dialysis units in major, minor cities and even rural areas as well. The beneficiaries will be dialysis patients from middle and lower income group of the local community.
Rotary will set up dialysis center with 5 units in partnership with a Tamilnadu Government hospital which has a Nephrologist. The Government hospital will run dialysis center with the reimbursement of Government aide for the patients with government health insurance coverage (or) collect a nominal fee from the patients without government health insurance coverage. Dialysis patient with kidney issue needs to do dialysis at least twice a week. Rotary will create dialysis facility at no cost to hospital, which will serve the community at low cost. District grant committee will involve themselves and monitor throughout the process and subsequent hospital will take care of the maintenance. This grant is going to take places in Hosur District.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
