Project Description Region: Africa Country: Nigeria Location: Ifitedunu Total Budget: $92,039 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene Rotary International Grant #GG2696709 This project will provide potable drinking water to five villages in Ifitedunu, Anambra State, Nigeria, benefiting an estimated population of approximately 250,000 inhabitants. The community currently relies on stream water for daily use, creating significant health, safety, and sanitation concerns. By providing reliable access to clean water, the project will reduce exposure to water-borne diseases, improve hygiene, support childrenââ‚₀â„¢s school attendance, reduce the burden on women and girls who fetch water, and strengthen overall community development. The local Rotary Club, [insert Rotary Club name], has recently visited the five villages and begun assessing the communityââ‚₀â„¢s needs. Additional information, including photographs, videos, and detailed assessment findings, will be provided to further document the current conditions (including budget, expected next week) and support the project proposal.
