This project focuses on the prevention of cervical cancer through Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination and awareness campaigns in government and private schools of Kavali assembly constituency.
The project typically provides the necessary 2 doses for younger girls between 09-14 years old as per WHO recommendations.
Beyond vaccination, this project includes educational seminars for students and parents to address vaccine hesitancy and the importance of early detection of cervical cancer.
The Rotary Club of Kavali partners with local school administrators, local healthcare Authorities and community leaders to ensure the safe and effective administration of the vaccines for 1150 school girls twice as per the schedule under the supervision of Rtn.Dr.Bezawada Ravikumar and Rtn.Dr.Kannula Anand Kumar.
Rotarians primarily focus on funding, awareness and organizing large-scale vaccination camps. Rotarians lead educational campaigns to dispel myths and vaccine hesitancy, particularly in rural areas. They use creative methods like car / bike rallies and seminars led by medical professionals to reach students, parents and community leaders.
Global grant funds are utilized to procure 2300 vaccine, Cervical cancer awareness & educational campaigns and Logistics and delivery.
