2. Community Assessment

- Conducted community meetings, surveys, and stakeholder consultations to determine the need for tree planting.

- Identified areas at risk of deforestation, soil erosion, and climate change impact.

- Engaged local authorities, schools, farmers, and environmental groups.

- Assessment Report attached.

3. Project Objectives

- Plant [3000] trees in deforested areas to improve biodiversity and climate resilience.

- Educate [500] community members on tree planting and maintenance.

- Improve soil quality and prevent erosion through strategic tree placement.

- Establish community-based tree care committees for sustainability.

4. Implementation Plan

Phase 1: Planning (Months 1-3)

- Site selection and approval from local authorities.

- Procurement of native tree species.

- Community awareness and training sessions.

Phase 2: Planting (Months 4-6)

- Community-wide tree planting events.

- Involvement of schools, farmers, and volunteers.

Phase 3: Maintenance & Monitoring (Months 7-24)

- Regular watering, pruning, and pest control measures. - Survival rate assessment using GPS tracking and field surveys. - Reports submitted to Rotary Grant Center.
