This is our third Global Grant for Solar in Ukraine. Following our solar installation at Chernihiv Maternity Hospital in Fall, 2025, we are now fundraising for solar on Chernihiv General Hospital #2, a regional hub for the rehabilitation of wounded veterans. Our partners included the US National Renewable Energy, which did the technical feasibility studies for these hospitals. We had a robust competitive bid for a Ukrainian solar installation company, which we will replicate for this project. Our partners are The City of Chernihiv, Rotary Club of Kyiv-Capital, the Rotary Club of Babcock Ranch, Florida, and 14 other Rotary Clubs. This time, we also welcome the partnership and generous pledge of Blue-Yellow Cross, a German nonprofit that is performing incredible humanitarian work in Ukraine.

Additional Contribution (not matched by The Rotary Foundation)
$46,000
Total
$425,000
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
