Project Description Region: South America Country: Colombia Location: Soata Total Budget: $52,107 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene General Objective Supply of drinking water to 250 households including 2 schools (1000 people) in the villages of La Carrera and El Nogal in the Municipality of Tipacoque, in Boyacá through the installation, assembly and operation of a water treatment plant, training the community in its care, maintenance, basic sanitation, habits and hygiene practices. with the purpose of reducing diseases caused by contaminated water and contributing to the improvement of the quality of life and public health of the vulnerable population, including children and the elderly. PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe inhabitants of the villages of La Carrera and El Nogal in the Municipality of Tipacoque who do not have drinking water service, so they frequently suffer from gastrointestinal problems, being more frequent in them older adults and children; for this reason, this plant is necessary for a better quality of life for all the inhabitants of the sector.
