Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

Introduction and Vision.

AdicTeen is a groundbreaking initiative designed to combat the growing problem of substance abuse among adolescents. Leveraging innovative tools such as virtual reality and telehealth, AdicTeen is poised to become the first virtual center dedicated to addressing drug addiction through education, prevention, and recovery.

What Is Virtual Reality and the Metaverse?

Virtual reality (VR) immerses individuals in a digital environment, simulating real-world experiences in a controlled, safe space. The metaverse is a shared digital universe where users interact through avatars, offering anonymity and privacy. AdicTeen uses these tools to create engaging and stigma-free spaces for adolescents to learn, heal, and recover.

Our Vision

To empower adolescents worldwide by providing innovative, accessible, and confidential support to prevent and treat substance abuse. AdicTeen envisions a future where technology bridges the gap between young people in need and the resources that can change their lives.

AdicTeen's Impact and Innovation.

A Comprehensive Solution

AdicTeen addresses addiction holistically through:

•Prevention: Interactive workshops and educational programs.

•Intervention: Risk assessment and early intervention using virtual tools.

•Treatment: Virtual therapy sessions and immersive recovery programs, including art and sports therapies.

•Continuous Research: Evidence-based approaches to keep treatment methods relevant and effective.

Why Virtual Reality Works

VR allows adolescents to experience simulations that teach them about the risks of drug use in a safe and controlled environment. It also helps replace harmful habits with healthy ones, such as developing a passion for sports or art.

Measurable Outcomes

•Target: Reach 10,000 adolescents in the first year.

•Offer annual subscription services to private schools for $10,000 COP (~$2.50 USD per student).

•In the second year, the service will be extended free of charge to public schools

•Engage businesses by addressing workplace substance abuse, creating a sustainable revenue stream.
