1.General objective (10 lines maximum)

Guarantee the sustainability and growth of the Music School of the Las Colinas village (Municipality of Piedecuesta, Santander, Colombia) by strengthening and expanding the offer in musical training, motivating the learning of both symphonic instruments and repertoires of traditional music of the region, offering an educational and enriching experience that encourages their integral growth, reduces anxiety and stress, promotes positive moods and emotions that provide a space for them to express their emotions and thoughts in a healthy way that leads to a decrease in violence and provides them with valuable tools for the future, training them as social actors that positively impact their social and cultural environment.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: (15 lines maximum)

It seeks to secure the necessary budget for the sustainability of the music school in the Las Colinas area (Municipality of Piedecuesta, Santander, Colombia) that allows for the payment of teachers, the acquisition of musical instruments and furniture (chairs, tables, sound equipment, television, board, teaching materials), which guarantees the musical training of the children of the area, with the necessary and good quality means, in a fun and stimulating learning environment that motivates children to explore and enjoy music.

PLEASE DESCRIBE WHAT NEEDS YOU IDENTIFIED?

Strengthen economic resources to increase and guarantee the quality and permanence of teachers. Acquire adequate instruments and furniture to expand coverage. Condition the school facilities with the necessary resources to expand the desired demand. Have a budget for the provision of uniforms and travel for children's presentations.

HOW WILL THE PROJECT MEET THESE NEEDS?

With international resources, local contributions and others that will be managed, funds will be available to guarantee the improvement of the conditions of the Music School, strengthening the impact on its community. These resources will allow the acquisition of symphonic and traditional instruments; the payment of teachers' salaries; transportation to events; and the acquisition of uniforms.

WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS PROJECT?

The project will not only benefit the children of Las Colinas, but also members of the community and families in the area, and is expected to impact children from nearby villages.

PLEASE QUOTE AN ESTIMATED NUMBER OF BENEFICIARIES.

It is expected that its coverage will expand to directly benefit 150 children, 450 family members and people in the community.

SUSTAINABILITY: (explain how the project will continue to operate once the financial support you receive for this project ends)

The "Godfather Plan" has been implemented, which consists of finding people with economic means who want to make a monthly contribution to sponsor 1 or more children.

Going to companies to invest their "social responsibility" funds in sponsoring the children of the Music School.

Developing activities with the community to obtain economic resources, such as bazaars, bingo, among others.

IS THE COMMUNITY INVOLVED? DESCRIBE THE ROLE OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY IN PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION AND CONTINUITY.

Parents of students, the Community Action Board and the community in general demonstrate total commitment to the Music School. They are very attentive to taking their children to classes, they attend events and activities with enthusiasm. They help to obtain sponsors through their contacts and employers. They participate in decision-making.
