General objective. Provide the Fundación San José de Buga (FSJB) with a MOBILE UNIT to offer basic and specialized health services to the rural communities of Buga and the Valle del Cauca region with access difficulties.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT. The Fundación San José de Buga provides medium and high complexity health services articulated with the network of providers in Valle del Cauca, Colombia. The health model promoted by the National Government aims to decentralize specialized services in the main cities and improve access for rural populations and those with various barriers to access. For this reason, the FSJB intends to acquire a MOBILE UNIT to provide health services related to general and specialized medical consultations, laboratory studies, non-invasive diagnostic imaging (electrocardiogram and echocardiogram), non-ionizing (ultrasounds) and non-invasive pneumological (spirometry). It seeks to benefit special populations, the elderly, indigenous, displaced, migrants and other vulnerable populations. The 1st stage will benefit the population of Buga and 5 municipalities in the area of influence. The 2nd stage will include another 24 municipalities in the department.
