Project to mitigate Hunger and food insufficiency for the community in the semi rural area in Lesotho, on a site owned and run by the Anglican Church of Lesotho under the Lesotho Durham Link. The facility has been running a farming facility on a small scale to provide needed supplies to the villagers, and the plan is to increase the capacity and thus the reach.
In collaboration with Fresh Ministries, the project aims to procure, install and run a self-sustaining Hydro/Aquaponics greenhouse project to feed the indigent people in that area and generate funds by sale of produce such as vegetables, herbs and fish to the immediate neighborhood and further afield in Lesotho.
rom the time of installation of the infrastructure, the first harvest is expected in 5 weeks, community, Facility management and staff as well as Rotarians involvement is core to the functionality of the project

This project needs to receive some pledges to go to the next level. Please check the "Financing" tab to see the list of current pledges. Once the amount pledged is equal to the project budget, the status of the project will be automatically changed to "Fully Pledged". Click here to pledge support for this project.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
