Project Description Region: Africa Country: Egypt Location: Cairo ,Egypt Total Budget: $46,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment The project focus on saving the lives of patients with brain stroke from getting paralyzed. this will be made possible through providing a high end duplex ultrasound machine that will help on deciding course of action of the treatment and abolish the delay that cause patients to get paralyzed and can lead to loss of lives. 3000 patients with brain stroke goes to the Hospital (Kasr al any hospital) for treatment. a community survey was made among doctors and patients shows the urgency of providing this unit. sustainability will be achieved by giving training to doctors and nurses and a maintenance contract with the supplier to provide spare parts as well. this will be paid by the hospital. my club (RC Heliopolis) will contribute $1000 and our District will contribute $4000 DDF to be matched 80% by TRF to give total of $8000.- I am inviting clubs and Rotarians with passion to the noble cause of the project to pledge $ 15000 to be matched with their districts $15000. with the Match of TRF will cover the project budget of $46000,- Primary Host Partner District: 2451 Rotary Club of: Heliopolis Primary Contact: Amir Saba Email: amir.saba@scarab-eg.com Primary International Partner District: 5300 Rotary Club of: Las Vegas WON Primary Contact: Chehab el Awar Email: shabdg201415@gmail.com Project Status Need $37,520 This project needs to receive some pledges to go to the next level.
