Rotary Club of Wainganga Balaghat (hereinafter referred as RCWB) is formed and Affiliated to Rotary International in the year 2004.Balaghat District is surrounded by very dense forests, many rivers with largest on Wainganga River and inhabited by majority Tribals Gonds and Baigas. Unfortunately Balaghat district is deprived of major health and sanitation facilities even after the Government efforts. Balaghat is also Famous for world renowned Kanha Tiger Reserve with largest number of Tigers in a reserve forest. Balaghat District also produces the famous Bamboo and Teak in India. Balaghat District has largest number of villages about 2300 in the region.
RCWB is running a complete cardiac and ventilated ambulance with a Purchase cost of USD$39,000 since year 2018 and the same has travelled to 2,30,000 kms on board and treated as many as more than 800 patients in 1800 days.
There is a project called sahaytarth which provide calipers, wheel chairs and medical equipments to needy with a investment of about USD$ 6,000. Every year RCWB provides health checkup camps in tribal area and villages. Total annual outlay of the club is about UDS$ 97,000.
Saying all still there is a lot more efforts to be made in the area of total health and sanitation along with the government efforts and need international focus and partnerships to be built to cater the need of the people for their socio economic up liftment.
The RCWB is willing to bring super specialty life support
ambulance. As stated above with the main cause of running the same for better
medical facilities for patients.
Hence RCWB is looking for International partner's and Global Grant for the same.
