Rotary Club of Bharuch, through its permanent project managed by Rotary Welfare Trust, established the Shroff Punamchand Devchand Rotary Club of Bharuch Diagnostic Centre in 2007. The center operates on a no-profit, no-loss basis, aiming to provide affordable Radiological and Pathological investigations to the underserved populations. The diagnostic center is currently equipped with a Digital X-Ray Machine, Ultrasound machine, Mammography machine, and a Semi-auto Analyzer for Blood chemistry. It is staffed by a full-time Radiologist, a Pathologist, and other dedicated paramedical personnel. Charges are levied on patients solely to cover project expenses, ensuring sustainability without commercial interests. The current ultrasound machine, installed in 2017, has become outdated with unavailability of parts. We seek to replace it with a new, advanced machine to enhance diagnostic capabilities and provide better services to our patients. The existing semi-auto analyzer for Blood chemistry has become obsolete, leading to outsourcing of certain tests to external labs. We aim to acquire a fully automated advanced analyzer machine to improve accuracy and efficiency in pathology services. The new ultrasound machine will provide state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities, especially for obstetric and gynecological conditions. Additionally, the advanced analyzer machine will enable us to conduct a wider range of tests inhouse, reducing dependency on external labs and ensuring timely and accurate reports. The Shroff Punamchand Devchand Rotary Club of Bharuch Diagnostic Centre primarily serves the impoverished and tribal communities in and around Bharuch. With a population exceeding 10,50,000 the majority of whom are in dire need, the project will directly benefit approximately 6,000 patients annually. By upgrading our equipment, we anticipate a 25% increase in patient visits for both radiological and pathological investigations. In conclusion, the Shroff Punamchand Devchand Rotary Club of Bharuch Diagnostic Centre has been an invaluable resource for the community for the past 24 years. With your support through the Global Grant, we aim to modernize our equipment, ensuring the continuity and enhancement of essential diagnostic services for the underprivileged in Bharuch.
