Global Grant 23-52766, Water and Sanitation with High Impact in Ghana will drill 54 new boreholes and build 324 microflush toilets in Ghana. Our goal is to provide communities in poor communities with clean water and sanitation. We will also provide 244 micro-credit loans through village savings and loan groups to support farmers and small businesses, boreholes and household toilets to improve the economic strength of their communities. The project funding budget is $225,000. This project shall jointly be hosted by Rotary Clubs of Kumasi, Obuasi, Accra Achimota, Dunkwa and Wa, all from district 9104, Ghana, with Obuasi as the lead. We plan to impact 30,343 lives.
Need $214,000
This project needs to receive some pledges to go to the next level. Please check the "Financing" tab to see the list of current pledges. Once the amount pledged is equal to the project budget, the status of the project will be automatically changed to "Fully Pledged". Click here to pledge support for this project.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
