Views and ideas on litracy mission
A person aged seven and above, who can both read and write with under-standing in any language, is treated as literate. A person, who can only read but cannot write, is not literate. Literacy reflects the economic and cultural set-up of a nation, ethnic group or community.
Early schooling helps not only in increasing literacy but also helps to conquer the problem of child labour and provides opportunity to many and make them able to access hundreds of prior jobs in future.
Here are some campaigning ideas that would be organized by rotary club to increase awareness about literacy among the families that are below the poverty line.
1. We should organize literacy programs through the means of street schools (mainly known as 'nukkad pathshala') and we will reward children by giving them daily needs (such as groceries) for studying with us.
2. We will hire some of students that are active in social works and rotarians who are willing in teaching children in a fun way so that they would enjoy studying.
By this those children who used to do a very rough job to earn some amount of money will now get the basic needs by studying. So they will attracted towards rewards and start studying to get more.
Somehow there parents will allow them. So by this way litracy mission achieve their goals.
