Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
The main objective of Project Blueprint is to produce a (first of its kind) Operational Plan, or blueprint, for defining the key constituents, critical materials, roles/responsibilities, and acquiring the necessary legislative and civic approvals for operating a Stabilization and Assessment Center (SAC) for sex-trafficked girls under 18 years of age. This will be an expert-driven and survivor-driven process, culminating in a detailed guideline for how best to deliver this service to sex-traffic teenagers - in a manner that will a) improve their recovery from highly traumatized events and abusive handlers, and b) decrease their chances of ever returning to this horrific manipulation, control, and abuse. Lastly, this plan will be composed and written so that it can be adopted, scaled, and executed by metropolitan communities worldwide.
Additional Contribution (not matched by The Rotary Foundation)
$27,286
Total
$158,000
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
