The temporary Covid hospital in Quetzaltenango has an old x-ray machine which is not totally functional and at best could not handle the required volume of images. This proposal would provide a suitable new machine, including installation and training. The temporary hospital likely has at least a two year expected life, and may evolve into a permanent hospital. If it is closed, the x-ray machine would be moved to a different permanent hospital.
The local Rotary club is also a leading participant with a global grant to install 29 x-ray machines in clinics in Guatemala. They will supervise the acquisition of this machine.
