Given the current dire economic situation of the country and the role medical dispensaries need to play to assist vulnerable communities, RC Beirut Cosmopolitan (RCBC), decided to undertake the project of assisting AGBU Dispensaries. There is a desperate need for more primary healthcare centers that offer minimal charge services in Lebanon.
To meet these needs, AGBU Lebanon decided to expand its dispensary in Dora (at the outskirts of Beirut) by adding more equipment. The service expansion will allow AGBU to serve hundreds of additional patients per year. AGBU Lebanon will use funding to expand existing medical care activities by purchasing additional medical equipment for a total budget of around $100,000.
RCBC, after visiting and checking the premises of the Dispensary, perceives a total of 6-8 months for the completion of the project, (six months from the time the funds are available); RCBC Club members have already started their thorough study, different sub-groups checking, reviewing and analyzing as follows: first checking the history of the organization/dispensary, verifying their professionality and reliability, confirming sustainability, evaluating and assessing the needs, and finally contacting & coordinating with our international friends/partners to realize the project.
