Project Description Region: Africa Country: Mexico Location: 4 Northwest states Total Budget: $30,121 Area of Focus: None In Mexico we have a huge need for eyeglasses, around 40 million people needs glasses, but only half of them have acces to them. Having a pair pof glasses tranforms the opportunities for a better education, access to information and life opportunities in general. Analyzing this, we expect to deliver 2500 eyeglasses to kids that have low income, and are currently studying. Thi can change his opportunities, for education and future economic integration. We have an alliance with Salud Digna, the largest supplier in Mexico, that is willing to help makinf a contribution, for example eyeglasses that can have a market value of arround 35 dollars, Salud digna offers to make a contributtion to Rotary causes, delivering al a cost of 8,5 dollars, and other more special items in a far better price from market. They can make diagnosis, for over 6000 candidates in order to be sure what kind of eyeglass is required.
