Name of the School : Sahachari Vidyamandir
No. of Beneficiaries : 400 plus students both boys and girls, 12 teachers and sub-staffs, local people
School Established: 1975
The school is established in 1975 and run by local school management committee. The school building owned by the school committee. The school has four classes from IV to VIII and each class has approximate 100 students. The class rooms are dingy and only two class rooms. The other two classes are held in mid day meal room and another class held in adjacent primary school.
The children come from the adjacent villages. Most of the students are first generation learners and hail from vegetable vendors and local brick kiln worker families.
These students are otherwise very talented and intelligent.
The school is in a dilapidated condition without any toilet facility. They share an unhealthy toilet unit with the adjacent vegetable vendors. Dilapidated building, broken benches and chairs, no furniture, no computer, no library, no basic amenities to sow dream in them to save their smile.
Our Mission :
Our mission is to refurbish the school entirely with help of Global Grant. The entire Project Costs is approximate Rs.70,00,00.00 (USD 95,000). It includes building two stories to accommodate the entire student strength in a same building. Provide furniture, setting up library and computer room. Building separate toilet blocks for boys and girls.
Sustainability :
It is a humanitarian project, which will benefit the poor rural children to enjoy their school lives and pursue their carrier. We can provide Adult Education on the weekends and run a small skill development centre for the students and local youth. The proper toilet will reduce the dropout rate of the girl students and would help to pursue their carrier
