353 People (64 households) of Amarauli village fetch water from 5 numbers of existing public open Hand Dug Wells and 6 numbers of private shallow tube wells, which are contaminated by bacteriologically, physically and chemically. In all HDWs, villagers use metal and plastic buckets with ropes and hooks. There is no practice of either filtration or boiling water at homes in the village. There is no any plan of water supply project construction by municipality. The proposed project aims to provide clean water to all households at the door step by using ground water lifting by solar pumping system and filtration with iron/ coliform removal plants. The main objectives of the project are: (i) to provide Clean and safe drinking water under One House one Tap campaign in a systematic and decentralized scheme for the entire village of Amarauli and (ii) to empower the local community, villagers and the Water User committee to implement the project and properly manage the system for sustainable operation for next at least 20 years. Rotary club of Narayangarh shall be the host club and also provide some funding from its club foundation.

Dropped
This project has been "Dropped". Check the history log entries to see why it was dropped.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
