Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Thane Total Budget: $45,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy We have been working for about a decade with a school having appr.1650 students from economically disadvantaged sections of society. We have already helped construct additional classrooms, library, computer lab, science lab, high end english learning programs(linguaphone), providing mid day meals since two years. We are working to make some of the students to great achievers in about 4/5 years. Have achieved 95% attendance and huge improvement in academic performance. Now we need us$20000 for an "e" learning program for 1650 children (22 classrooms). Total project cost us$45000. Project will be implemented within one month from date of gg approval. Club will provide us$20000, our district will give us$5000 . We need support of us$15000. 80% of the members are involved in the project.
