Project Description

Region: South-East Asia

Country: India

Location: Thane

Total Budget: $59,780

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

Mobile Dialysis unit will be for Senior Citizen and also for People suffering from Joint Pain or other age related problems and thus providing them comfort at door step without going to hospital and waiting for hours. This will enable the patient go by themselves and thus eliminate the need of someone to ferry them to hospital every alternate or third day.

Presently every chronic Kidney Disorder patient has to undergo Dialysis 1 to 3 times a week. This required them to visit the hospital and almost ½ day is used up in this. It requires a family person or driver to be occupied and ferry the person to hospital. Also the patient are normally senior citizens and have other ailments and particularly joint pains, low immunity and thus it's a nightmare for quite a few to visit hospitals so often for the dialysis procedure.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
