Project Description Region: Africa Country: Nigeria Location: Port Harcourt Total Budget: $63,820 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Procurement, supply and installation of critical emergency service equipment to the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital and training of staff. Objective of Project: Objective of the project is to enhance delivery of emergency medical services in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital while promoting maternal and child health. Intended Beneficiaries: Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital and the public (mothers and children) that she serves. Additional Info: A community assessment was carried by the hospital with an assessment carried out by a Medical Practitioner member of Rotary Club of Port Harcourt thereby narrowing our support to the critical supplier for emergencies. Other needs exist in the area of provision of ventilators and PPEs for the fight against COVID-19.
