Santa Maria is an orphanage of 300 children in central Mexico. This project will allow them to irrigate their farm on the property more consistently over a year. The reservoir will also increase their irrigation acreage by 300 to 400 acres (from 600 acres currently to 1,000 acres in total). This will allow for the planting of alfalfa for the dairy cow operation as well as for corn as a food resource for both the animals on the farm as well as the children at the orphanage.
