Pledge Support

If your club or district is interested in partnership in a Global Grant you can pledge support for a project on this site. Pledging support indicates that your club/district is willing to commit funds towards the project as well as participate and communicate with the partners for the project's duration. You can pledge support for the full amount needed, or for a partial amount. When pledging support for a project, you should not send any money. Pledging support only indicates that your club or district is willing to do a Global Grant project through The Rotary Foundation. The funding for the project will be sent to The Rotary Foundation after the paperwork has been submitted and the grant has been approved, as it is done for every Global Grant.

Clubs who did not submit a final or progress report in due time for previous Global Grant projects are earmarked as "delinquent" and are not allowed to participate in new projects until the needed report(s) are completed. By pledging support for a project on this site, you ensure us that your Club is not delinquent in reporting for any of its previous projects.

If you pledge support for the full amount needed, the project status will change to "Fully Pledged", and a notification email will be sent to the person who posted the project. It will then be time to complete a Global Grant proposal and application and communicate with your project partners to implement details. Partnership is very important and Global Grants will only be approved unless examples of communication and participation are defined for both the host and international partners. The use of this website does not replace in any way the application process that needs to be done with The Rotary Foundation.

To pledge support for a project, go to the project description page, and click on the "Pledge Support for this Project" button (click the button on the project page, not the sample button on this page!). You will be asked to fill your contact information, and the amount of your pledge. The project page will be updated accordingly. Submitting a pledge will give you access to the project administration, and add you to project distribution list for notification emails.

If you decide later to withdraw/change your support for a project, you can delete/update your contribution from the "Financing" tab of the project administration page.
