Summary: Provide scholarship funding to send four students to RYLA Camp (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) Summer 2027
Send four students to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Camp. The students will attend spring/summer 2027 which is usually held at Camp Hobitzelle in Midlothian, Texas. The students are the beneficiaries as they learn lifelong leadership skills. The Plano Sunrise Club will fund approximately $4,000.00 and is requesting 50% ($2,000.00) in a matching District Grant. The students are recommended by High school counselors and teachers, interviewed by Rotarians, and four finalists selected. Camp RYLA is announced and promoted by Plano Senior High Schools through their internal TV systems, bulletin boards, and in classes and clubs.
