Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: provide school chairs for grades 5 & 6 and sustain the elderly and children's feeding program This project provides durable school chairs for Grade 5 and Grade 6 students at Aglosong Elementary School in Negros, Iloilo, Philippines, improving classroom comfort, posture, and overall learning conditions. In addition, the project supports the Religious Franciscan Sisters' Feeding Program in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, which provides nutritious meals to elderly and children who rely on the program for consistent food support. Rotarians will coordinate the purchase and delivery of the school chairs and assist in strengthening the feeding program's meal distribution. Funding includes a Rotary District 5340 matching grant of $500, combined with $500 from the Rotary Club of Sweetwater San Diego, for a total project budget of $1,000.
