Summary: purchase of readers and essential literacy supplies for K-3 at buckeye elementary school
Supplies for the early literacy will include phonics and guided reading manipulatives. The primary focus is supporting 3rd grade students who are art risk of retention under Arizona's "Move on When Reading " guidelines. These materials will be used to strengthen core classroom literacy instruction and will also support after-school intervention programs designed to assist struggling readers. all purchased supplies will be inventoried and teachers will receive training to ensure the materials are used effectively and appropriately to maximize student learning outcomes. club members will visit the campus to see how materials are used and will participant in Dr Suess Reading Day.
