The "Little Seeds, Big Growth" Garden Program at the Estes Valley Community Garden (EVCG) is a family-centered initiative that engages children and youth in hands-on gardening, outdoor learning, and healthy living.
Every other Friday, late June through September (weather permitting), this program provides consistent opportunities for families to connect with nature, build gardening skills, and grow together as a community.
Activities are tailored by age group, with Little Sprouts (ages 2-6) focusing on sensory exploration and simple planting, and Root Builders (ages 7-14) engaging in more hands-on gardening tasks and skill-building. Through planting, creative activities, and take-home resources, participants will develop confidence, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of where food comes from, all within a supportive and engaging environment.
The Community Assistance Committee collaborated with EVICS to decide on this grant, and a Rotary member is on their board. Club members will help gather and deliver supplies for the program.
