Estes Valley Investment in Childhood Success Monthly Youth Activity Program

EVICS Family Resource Center seeks $2,500 in funding to support a year of monthly youth activities serving youth ages 7-18 in Estes Park, starting in July or August 2026 and continuing monthly for 12 months. This program provides safe, engaging, and skill-building opportunities, with a priority focus on underserved youth, including Hispanic/Latino students, who often face barriers such as cost, transportation, and language access.

Youth programs play a critical role in development, offering young people opportunities to build social skills, confidence, and positive relationships, while reducing engagement in risky behaviors. However, many families cannot afford consistent participation in enrichment activities, especially when trying to afford the cost of living in Estes Park. This funding will allow EVICS to offer free or low-cost monthly programming, ensuring equitable access for all youth.

EVICS has been engaging youth across this age range through activities such as Nerf tag events, tween pizza nights, and fly fishing outings, which foster connection, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. Building on this success, EVICS will implement 12 age-appropriate and inclusive monthly activities, with options that engage both younger participants and teens.

Group size varies by age and availability, but we estimate there will be 10 to 12 students per activity.

Our Rotary Community Service Committee collaborated with EVICS to determine the need for this grant. A Rotary member serves on the EVICS board. Club members will help to organize the activities and provide chaperones for a selected activity.
