Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Placentia

Total Budget: $2,000

Area of Focus: Community economic development

Activity Type: Community Development: General

Summary: Replace the flagpole and flag at the American Legion building, located in Old Town Placentia

The American Legion Post 277 is located in one of the City's historical buildings. Its current flagpole is a galvanized steel pipe, and the flag is manually raised and lowered by climbing up to it -- constituting both a safety and convenience issue. Club members will work with members of the American Legion, will make arrangements for the purchase and installation to replace the piping to a proper flagpole, easily raised and lowered via harness system, protected from tampering by a "lockbox". The flag will also be replaced.

The project will last approximately one month once materials are received
