Summary: Mental Health hand on projects


The project is a year long project which will have multiple events centered on mental health and homelessness, which have a direct relationship with one another. Some event involve providing hygiene kits for the homeless and for foster care high school students displaced from homes and living out of cars or in temporary situations. Other events involve supporting mental health by assembling "escape bags" containing personal hygiene supplies, emergency supplies and materials with resources for women/men escaping domestic abuse household situations where they have to suddenly flee their homes. Other projects involve participating in the district mental health walk with a booth focused on mental health and providing materials supporting physical safety and mental health awareness and disaster preparation for people and pets. Other projects involve supporting mental health for the elderly through art.
