Summary: The Rotary Club of Lakewood will partner with project Shepherd, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to bridge the gap for the need for donating backpacks and school supplies to support students in need
The rotary club of Lakewood will partner with project Shepherd, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to bridge the gap for the need for donating backpacks and school supplies to support students in need. Members will contribute by either making a monetary donation or providing backpacks and or school supplies. Approximately 20 Club members also joint community members local businesses electives officials and volunteers from other service organizations to help fill the backpacks with grade appropriate school supplies for students.
These school supplies will go beyond basic items like pencils and crayons in the middle and high school students requiring specialized calculus for advanced math courses will receive these essential tools which can be significant financial burden for some families the Rotary club of Lakewood is committed to supporting this program throughout the year and will fulfill additional supplier request as resources allow.
