Summary: 30 beds will be built and funded for Boise-area children in need
Members of the Boise Downtown Rotary Club will help build and fund 30 beds for area youth who don't currently have beds. The Club is partnering with the Boise Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace to support their mission that "no kids sleep on the floor in our town" by building 30 of the 325 beds they hope to deliver to children in need in 2026-2027. Two "Build Days" are being scheduled for Rotarians to construct beds at the SHP facility and there are also opportunities to help deliver beds to families and to donate bedding for those who can't make the bigger events. Budget: Sleep in Heavenly Peace budgets $300 for each bed (mattress @ $100, bedding @ $41, and lumber at $159). We are requesting $4,500 in grant funds matched by the Downtown Club for a total of $9,000 that will fund 30 beds at $300 each.

Tier 3 projects require a detailed spending plan as part of the application. You can prepare a spreadsheet itemizing how the money is to be spent, and upload it to the documents tab in your application. Thank you!
