Total Budget: $3,000

Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Community economic development

Activity Type: Education: Scholarship

Summary: This project will fund 2 - 3 vocational education scholarships for one semester.

For several years, the Rotary Club of Fountain Hills has been offering vocational scholarships to young residents and individuals who live elsewhere but are employed in our community. The scholarship funds are used for tuition, books, uniforms lab supplies, etc. Once a student enters our scholarship program and maintains good grades, they are supported until they graduate. The goal is to enable each to earn an Associate Degree or Technical Certificate which will facilitate success with their respective careers.

Since the inception of our scholarship program, 8 students have graduated and 9 are currently pursuing Associate Degrees or Certificates.
