Project Description Country: USA Location: Fort Collins Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: None Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: Volunteer Services Summary: Holiday Basket Project provides food to people in need over the holiday season in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Foothills Rotary Holiday Basket Project is a club legacy project that addresses food insecurity in our community by delivering a wide range of food products to families in need, helping to supplement the time between Thanksgiving and the end of December. We partner with local agencies-including Neighbor to Neighbor, Project Self Sufficiency, Crossroads Safe House and Care Housing to identify recipients. We collaborate with the Food Bank of Larimer County to source and assemble the baskets. Foothills Rotary Club volunteers manage all aspects of execution: acquiring food, packaging baskets, and delivery of baskets the weekend before Christmas. Grant funding supplements Food Bank contributions, allowing us to purchase additional items and provide families with a greater impact.
