Summary: Various improvements to Riverside Rotary Park in Juneau, Alaska to include pond clean-up efforts and installation of equpment to enhance family experiences at the park.
Juneau Glacier Valley Rotary has a long-standing partnership with the City & Borough of Juneau in support of improvements at Riverside Rotary Park. This park is used extensively by families in the community. The park is the site of numerous club projects including shelters, a duck feeding station, playground equipment, tree trimming, and the annual 9-11 ceremony and more. This project will enhance efforts to improve water quality at the pond with the purchase of a trailer to transport pond cleaning equipment and waste removed from the pond. The project also allows for the installation of two BBQ grills located near the existing shelters and any minor repairs needed on existing structures and equipment. Rotarians will be involved in regular pond clean-up seasonally and equipment installation the summer/fall of 2026.
