The Foothills Rotary Club seeks funding to address the growing shortfall of diapers and wipes for families in Larimer County. Working in partnership with the Food Bank for Larimer County (60,000 diapers and wipes are given out each month) and local diaper and food pantries, our club aims to increase access to essential hygiene supplies while raising community awareness about the urgent need for diapers. The cost of diapers has risen by 48%, placing additional strain on households already struggling to meet basic needs. SNAP benefits do not cover diapers, leaving families with few options. This project will mobilize Rotarians, local businesses, and all four Rotary clubs in Fort Collins to support families through service, advocacy, and donations. Rotarians will be engaged through:
Organizing and staffing diaper drives
Sorting, packing, and preparing diapers for distribution
Coordinating partnerships with local businesses
Promoting awareness through club communications and community outreach
Collaborating with the other Fort Collins Rotary clubs to expand impact
This project aligns strongly with Rotary's focus on supporting mothers and children, strengthening communities, and addressing poverty. By combining grant funding with service and community partnerships, the project will remain viable and impactful beyond the grant period. We hope to make this a reoccurring grant project. Thank you,
