The Harlem Salvation Army Temple Corps has a children's library that is in need of repair and updating. There are no computers, and the books are all adult books. The shelves are in disarray and the room is out of date.
The Rotary Club of Harlem uses the Salvation Army as its main meeting space for the past 10 years and we would like to show appreciation from the Rotary community by providing the following:
- New communal desk for students to read at, with bean bag chairs and computer desks
- One or two computers
- Renovation of existing space - New Carpet, paint, book shelves, telephone, shelving, electrical outlets
- Books and access to programs like IXL or Khan Academy for a year
