We are requesting District Designated Funds to help fund multiple grant projects supported by the Golden Triangle Rotary Club (GTRC). The projects listed below are listed as both dollar amounts (if max amount is approved) and as percentages (if a lower amount is approved). The projects are:
1) Scholarships for Keller ISD's Keller Center for Advanced Learning (KCAL) - $2000 ($1136 Club Contribution & $864 DDF)
Keller ISD's Career and Technical Education (CTE) program partners with the community to inspire, empower, and educate every student to excel in a diverse, global society for lifelong success. The hub of the District's CTE offerings is the Keller Center for Advanced Learning (KCAL), where high school students have the opportunity to take advanced CTE courses that prepares students for post-secondary endeavors through rigorous curriculum, relevant experiences, and lasting relationships.

2) Stepping Stones - $1000 ($500 Club Contribution & $500 DDF)
Stepping Stones Foundation remains dedicated to helping youth in crisis in North Texas. What began in 2009 as a grassroots effort by one woman, Christina Bynum-Breaux to feed, clothe and mentor over 150 children in a local trailer park, has grown into a full-fledged foundation that has provided programming and support to thousands of children and their families. Stepping Stones Foundation has worked hard to create awareness in the community and establish relationships with Child Protective Services, school intervention counselors and local law enforcement to refer children in need. As we meet these elementary, middle or high-school children, we perform a needs assessment, and resources or services are provided based upon availability.

3) Christ's Haven - $1000 ($500 Club Contribution & $500 DDF)
Christ's Haven supports children in several ways, but their main focus is to provide an option outside of traditional foster care, often when a caregiver has exhausted all efforts to care for a child. Whether a child is with us for six months or sixteen years, we utilize that time loving them as our own and instilling normalcy, dignity, and hope into their lives.
