Summary: Middle School student and their parents learning about science and robotics at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D,C,
Robotics and Artificial Intelligence is the wave of the future. It is imperative that the youth is prepared with the skill set and knowledge to meet the demands of tomorrow. We are looking to bring 16+ middle school students with an interest in science , accompanied with a parent to the Smithsonian Museum of Science in Washington D.C. , during Thanksgiving weekend November 29th-30th. We will be leaving early Saturday morning November 29th. We will be meeting some fellow Rotarian at the University in Virginia . We will be having a robotics presentation with PHDs ranging from Mechanical Engineering, Phyics, Chemistry etc. We will be staying at a local hotel and the next morning we will be headed to the Smithsonian Museum of Science for the immersive learning !! Funds will be allocated , for the roundtrip bus booking, the hotel/room booking and the three meals we will be providing throughout the weekend . Rotarians club members will help facilitate every aspect of this trip. Assist is the sparking of science interest, inquiry and idea brainstorming with the students. This trip will allow time for parents and children to bond and learn about science, a process that is integral in the students learning process and growth.
