Summary: Support afterschool tutoring program for high-need students
The Village Library is an afterschool tutoring program that targets high-need students identified by the local school district. Although the tutors are all volunteers, the program has overhead costs for materials, utilities, and similar expenses. This donation will help The Village Library continue growing their capacity to provide in-person tutoring and support for more high-need students. Members of the MCPS Rotary Club helped found The Village Library, have enabled the program's continuation as it has moved from its previous location to be housed at First United Methodist Church of Hurst, and continue to support The Village Library as volunteer tutors.
