Project Description Country: USA Location: Nyc Total Budget: $4,500 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Workshops to promote awareness, recognition, and tools for coping with the Mental & Physical Health. The Rotary Club of Chinatown in collaboration with several community organization will provide workshops on the relation between physical and mental wellness awareness, recognition, and effective simple safety measures to help oneself. This workshop will be techniques for all ages. Facilitation will be provided by skilled members from Chinatown Manpower (CMP,) POND PRACTICE, Chinatown Partnership Corporation (CPC} Self Defense Community Services, members from the local Police on safety measures as well as Community Health Care Services. The training will be held in English and Chinese so that the community attendees will understand the meaning of mental health conditions, Knowing the warning signs, common illnesses, referral and treatment of medical, social and counselling support services available.
