Project Description Country: USA Location: National City Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: Disease Summary: Supporting people in NC who have been diagnosed with cancer & related diseases. There are people in the community who have been diagnosed with cancer and or have a family member with cancer. Some families in National City have been exposed to hazardous pollution in the air due to redistricting of industrial zones within the residential community. Though services and treatment may be out of our hands, Rotary NC will help families experiencing hardships with resources and basic necessities to ease the family stress and daily struggles while figuring out their treatment plan. Rotary NC will support in partnership with other non-profits, providing groceries, payment of utilities, and upkeeping of their homes.
