Project Description Country: Nigeria Location: Lagos Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Prenatal Equipment in Primary Care Centre Rotary Club of Lekki Phase 1, located in Lagos Nigeria is upgrading the maternity ward at Ikate Primary Health Centre, Ikate-Elegushi, Lekki. Currently the facility does not provide adequate support for prenatal care. The purchase of modern equipment will reduce maternal and infant risks while giving families the confidence and care to promote the health, dignity, and safety of mothers and their newborns: Ultrasound scan - $1360 Autoclave sterilizing kit - $531 2 units UPS (5000 watts)- $109 ------------------------------------- Total $2,000 Point Loma Rotary Club will oversee the purchase of the equipment. Members from Rotary Club of Lekki Phase 1 will provide funding for repainting of the maternity ward, plumbing, bathroom repairs, storage shelves. Equipment purchase to be completed by September 2025.
